We stayed in the separate building on a hillside farm that grows olives and fruit, above a charming little town. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the family running the place are professionals, now in their sixth generation on the farm. They kept everything low key and well organized. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10, with homemade yogurt, honey, jams, meat, cheese, pastries, fruit, and more. Dinner was at 7 pm, if I remember right, with local specialties and a sunset over the valley. Florence is an easy drive for a day trip. There's a washing machine and manual clothes dryers for hanging laundry, so bring your own detergent. I'd go again.

The hosts were so friendly and ready to help, and Gianmarco kept the espressos coming, thanks! The local breakfast was excellent, too. It's a beautiful place to stay, with a lovely view and a great base for exploring the region. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Tuscany, and hope to see you again!

We had a fantastic stay. The apartments were clean and beautiful, the food was delicious, and the pool was lovely. The view is incredibly beautiful, and the people are so nice. It's even better in person than it looks in the pictures. Thanks again for your hospitality. Tom and Melissa

The farmhouse is very beautiful and self-sufficient, with a small pool and its own wine. We tried one of the wines and really liked it. Parking was easy, though the road up and down is a bit tricky because only one car can pass at a time. The host was very helpful, and breakfast was fantastic. You can also have dinner for €19 per person. I gave it four stars because there was no fridge or even a kettle in the room. All in all, it was a very quiet place.

We loved everything about our holiday at Il Calesse, from the atmosphere and the delicious food to the beautiful views and the place itself. Thanks to the hosts for all the work they put into it.
