Kairos Hotel

Dinner was often inedible. Several dishes tasted like plastic, and the lunch menu was served again at dinner; dessert was repeated too, always the same. Breakfast was generally good, though there wasn’t much variety. We stayed four days and three nights, and the room was dusty throughout. The blankets were stained and dirty, the pillows yellow, and there was mold in the shower. There was also a bad smell when we came in. The tablecloths provided on arrival were dirty and smelled unpleasant. Lots of things in the room, including the handles, drawers, and wardrobes, seemed easy to break.

You could hear people talking in other rooms, and the plastic dividers between the bedroom balconies were useless. Inside, dust was everywhere, including under the sink, and the closet was packed with dirty sheets. The bathroom handle came loose from the inside when we tried to open it, so there was a chance of getting locked in, although luckily that didn’t happen. The mini-freezer at the bottom of the closet was switched off, smelled bad, and had no rack for drinks. There was rust all over. The shower sat directly on the bathroom floor, which had a plastic lining that didn’t seem very watertight.

The food was horrible, frozen stuff that made you feel like you’d rather be left there. I’ve eaten better at a nursing home. Some staff were rude. There was mold on the hallway ceilings, and though the rooms were fairly clean, the beds weren’t. The spare pillow in the closet was covered in hair. The smell of feces reached throughout the hotel, even with the windows shut. Parts of the shower were falling off, and the dispensers had no shampoo, something that should be included in the room price. I’m definitely never staying here again.

The cuisine was amazing, and the chef was outstanding. I had a great stay, with staff who were friendly, serious, and very polite.
