Hotel Il Monastero

The sea was a dream: soft warm sand, clear blue water, and fish swimming around. It was about a 10-minute walk to the beach at a very slow pace, a bit longer for me as a big gal, but absolutely worth it. The port and Cagliari were close too. We came as a group and had wonderful food three times a day. The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to help. Our rooms felt beautiful and authentic, and the whole place had a spiritual feel to it. The grounds, facilities, and activity spaces were lovely. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this is the most incredible one. Already counting the days until we can come back. Xxx

We spent six nights here to unwind. The garden and decorations are beautiful, the pool area is great, and breakfast came with a delicious selection. Our room was decent, and the staff were polite and did their best to accommodate us. There are lovely beaches within a 10-15 minute walk. I come back every year, it’s my favorite swimming pool in South Sardinia. A Sardo oasis close to gorgeous beaches, tucked away almost in plain sight. Easy music, drinks, lunch or dinner, sunshine, lounging and the pool make it a lovely day at Monastero with friends or someone you love. It feels made for grown-ups, not really a kids’ paradise with slides and things. A must-see when you’re here 🤩🤩🤩

The staff were great, and we enjoyed every meal. I also loved the beautiful pool and its mountain views. A lovely long beach is just a short walk away, perfect for a morning or evening stroll. We only stopped for one night while passing through, but I could easily have stayed longer. Really relaxing, highly recommend.
