Pont-Saint-Martin is just a few steps from the bus stop, and buses make it easy to reach the hotel from Ivrea too. The place sits in a beautiful old village with a real sense of its history. I spent two nights there and found my room cozy. The owner was professional and very helpful, and the hospitality was impressive. Everything was spotlessly clean and the hotel was very well managed. :))))

For a two-star hotel, there were still too many things wrong. The room felt dark and stuffy, and the bathroom was cramped, with an unsuitable toilet seat. The curtains were awful, dusty, and made of very old material. There was a refrigerator, but it wasn't on, and the room had too few outlets that worked poorly. The building as a whole is quite dated, though the small lobby has some charm. Breakfast needs work too, and costs too much for the small amount and limited quality.

The single room smelled strongly of smoke, and breakfast was disappointing, with dry croissants cut in half. Parking was a hassle: the road up is very narrow, and the few street spaces were always taken, so we had to head back down to the main road to park. The church bell tower rang on the hour and half hour. I wouldn't recommend it.

The owner was incredibly kind, and the cozy rooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent too. A wonderful stay.
