La Gemma del Salento

The rooms were lovely and clean, and breakfast was simple but plenty for us. It was nice to be able to eat outside. The place was a little tricky to find, and parking is on the street, though it felt safe enough. We had an issue with the next-door room playing the TV loudly without regard for the rest of the building. I'd recommend staying here, but check about the stairs if those might be difficult for you.

The breakfasts were wonderful, with a good range of cakes, and the service was fantastic. Paola and Sebastiano are warm, helpful people who handle things very professionally. Their home really is a gem: spotless and centrally placed, with excellent transport connections.

I was in town for work and Sebastiano greeted me when I arrived. He was very kind and professional. The room was clean, roomy, and had all the comforts I needed, and breakfast came with homemade cakes. Thanks to Sebastiano and his wife for looking after me during my stay. It's an excellent place, and I highly recommend it.

Thank you so much, Paola and Sebastiano ❤️. The cleanliness was incredibly meticulous, unlike anything I've seen before, and the Ionian coast's lovely beaches are only a short trip from your central location. We were home for just a couple of hours and I was already thinking about those two days of breakfast: coffee drinks, yogurt, juices, fresh fruit, and all the spectacular desserts and homemade pastries Paola makes. You are honest people who clearly put your heart into your work, and you do so much for your guests. We hope to come back to your area soon and see you again.
