Modern Pool And Ancient Trullo

We had a fantastic August stay at the Glem B&B. Mr. Enzo and his wife Gianna welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home right away. He was already in touch after we booked on Booking.com months earlier, keen to make the stay comfortable. The place is clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Towels were provided on arrival, and the rooms and bathrooms were cleaned every day. Rooms also have air conditioning and a dehumidifier. Breakfast was generous: pasticciotti, brioches, and croissants baked that morning at the bakery just a few meters away, plus seasonal fruit, juice, water, cappuccino, and coffee each morning. There was a savory option too, with traditional frise and toppings like fresh tomatoes and oil. The nearest beach is a ten-minute drive; the Maldives of Salento is around fifteen minutes away, Punta Suina around twenty, and Baia Verde less than half an hour. I definitely recommend it to families and young people spending their holidays in Salento.

Racale is a handy base, close to Salento's most popular beaches. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and air-conditioned, which was essential in that heat, and the bathroom was very large too. Breakfast had fresh pasticciotti or brioches, homemade cakes we devoured, local fruit, and every kind of hot or cold drink we could ask for. The women in Lorenzo's family deserve kudos for the cakes. Above all, Lorenzo was kind and attentive to our needs, from restaurant bookings to buying local olive oil and medicines. We stayed at Glem from August 10th to 20th. Perfect in a word. We were greeted by Lorenzo, who was immediately ready to help with anything we needed. The place felt brand new, and both our room and the shared areas were exceptionally clean. The balcony with artificial grass and benches was a nice touch. Breakfast was very generous, with warm croissants, Nutella, jam, fruit juices, tarts, and seasonal fruit. We'll definitely return.

I picked this B&B for the sea nearby, the price, and the room photos, and I'd recommend it to other bikers. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the bed was especially comfortable, even for someone my height, 1.90 meters. The owner was attentive and very helpful. I have eggs and fruit for breakfast, so he even left two eggs and sliced peaches for me.
