Villa Oltremare

We especially liked the terrace, where dinner came with lovely sunsets, and the quiet nights. The villa's in a very scenic spot, and the double entrance came in handy for our bikes, which we felt better parking through the second one. There’s also a garden shower for rinsing off beach sand and a barbecue area outside. The landlord was kind and helpful throughout.

The large porch is handy for eating outside, and you can get up to the roof for sunset views across the sea. The seafront setting has quick access over the rocks, with Gallipoli, popular Salento beaches, and well-stocked supermarkets nearby. The fireplace for barbecuing is a nice feature. Some parts could use attention: the kitchen is a bit dated and has no oven, and there's no vacuum cleaner or mop. In the bedroom with two single beds, the window frames need fixing because the glass rattles loudly when the air conditioning is running.

The terrace is a lovely place in the late afternoon, with sunsets and a cool breeze that made us want to sleep out there. The villa in Torre Suda is just steps from the sea on a low cliff, with lots of room throughout. The bedrooms are spacious, there are three bathrooms, and the kitchen has everything from a microwave to a dishwasher. It's well placed for Salento's beaches and towns such as Gallipoli, Leuca, and Lecce, with minimarkets, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, and other basics close by. The owner was very kind and helpful. We did have ants, though they were easy to manage.

We were ten, celebrating our golden wedding anniversary with our daughters, granddaughters, and sons-in-law, and spent a wonderful week in this welcoming home. The rooms were lovely, and the location was wonderful. Francesco, the owner, was kind and happy to answer our questions. Thank you for the hospitality, Francesco.
