We’d return, mainly because the price and quality match so well. The hotel doesn’t claim to be luxurious, but it also doesn’t feel like a lesser option. Dinner starts at a pleasant 6:30 PM, and the 3/4 board was a nice surprise after skiing. The wellness area is very nice, and there’s a separate children’s pool with a little slide and warm water, though I found the air around it too hot. Our modern, tastefully furnished room had no carpet, as we’d paid extra for that option, and it was always clean. In room 214, the leatherette padding on the back of the bed was a bit scuffed and detracted slightly from my otherwise positive impression. I’d recommend replacing it :-). The receptionist was perfect and always smiling, as were the restaurant waiter and staff. They even asked about food allergies when we arrived, which isn’t something I usually see. There’s a games room beside the pool, along with a separate wellness center, making the hotel ideal for families with children. A free ski pass is offered for a ski slope about 11 km from the hotel, and the slope itself is 11 km long. It’s an interesting run, and even a good skier could enjoy it twice a week for three hours. It’d be a real hit if the hotel also offered a discount on the Racines Giovo Colle or Ladurns ski pass.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, and they spoke three languages. We stayed two nights and found it great value for money. The pool was warm enough to swim in for hours without getting cold. There were several families with children around the pool and dinner area, so it could get noisy and sometimes crowded.

There’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained, which makes this a nice place to spend time together while still getting some time to yourself. The spa is big enough to enjoy for a couple of days without needing to leave. The food was pretty delicious, with lots of vegetarian choices too.

We stayed five days in July and found it a great base for touring this beautiful region. The hotel has excellent food, a lovely pool area, and a playground for the kids. The staff are friendly, everything is clean, and the view is beautiful. I missed having a kettle for tea or coffee and a fridge for cold drinks in the room. With those, it would have earned my last star.

My husband and I spent ten days at Almina for a winter holiday, and we both loved our stay. The location is magical and everyone on staff was so nice. I have some food restrictions, and they made sure everything was prepared to suit them, including special desserts just for me. We’ll definitely be back in the near future!
