Le Querce Dell'etna B&B

We arrived to breathtaking views and quickly felt the magic of the place. Mount Etna rises on one side, and on the other there’s a grove, a picnic area, and a view that reaches the sea. In June, you can rub the walnut tree leaves and pick blackberries straight from the mulberry trees, whose berries are used to make a wonderful granita. The air is full of Sicilian scents. The property was better than we expected. Giovanni was courteous, kind, friendly, and ready to help with anything. You can count on him for advice about what to see and where to eat. The rooms are refined and cared for down to the smallest detail, and the breakfasts are delicious, with flavors we’ll remember long after the holiday. The B&B also partners with "La Vecchia Botte" restaurant, where you can enjoy excellent local food on a lovely terrace. People say life is a journey and that those who travel live twice. Giovanni, the owner, is warm and kind, but never intrusive. We enjoyed talking with him, and it was easy to reach him by phone or WhatsApp. He gave us lots of useful tips and clearly takes care of every detail. We hear there are some lovely new things coming, and we’d like to try them on our next visit. The B&B was easy to find, in a very quiet spot just a five-minute walk from the town center. There’s private enclosed parking in the villa grounds. The garden is beautifully kept, with trees, fruit trees, and flowers. The whole property was spotless and smelled lovely. Our bright, spacious room was new, clean, well maintained, and nicely scented too. We slept soundly. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety: milk, tea, juice, water, coffee, fresh bakery goods, crispy treats, jam, butter, Nutella, cheese, fruit, ham, toast, and more. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.

I had the usual doubts about choosing a B&B for a quiet weekend, then was so glad we’d picked this one. The villa is beautiful and fits naturally into the landscape, with oak, chestnut, olive, and fig trees and a gorgeous view. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. Set among greenery, this is a lovely place to stay. The hosts were kind and helpful, including when we were planning our trip to Mount Etna. I highly recommend it.
