The hotel sits above a valley, and the location is amazing. We stayed a few days, though I wish it could have been longer. The restaurant food was excellent, and while the rooms are small, they’re tastefully renovated and full of character. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like family rather than customers. Their kindness and attention made us feel at home and completely at peace. A fantastic experience.

Such an interesting idea for a hotel. The team were helpful and friendly, the rooms were huge, and the bathroom area was big too. We had a great dinner on the main floor.

We came as a couple for the restaurant, so I can’t say what staying overnight is like. The hotel manager, Signore Salvo Cucuzza, was an excellent, informative resource. He spent a lot of one-on-one time with us and patiently answered our questions about the establishment, its historical importance, and how contemporary cooking classes are structured there. The food was just as impressive: we were intrigued by the variety on the menu and the freshness, quality, and creativity of the dishes. Signore Cucuzza explained the food and its origins, and paired each dish with the right table wine. Eating in the renovated chambers of this monastery, surrounded by old-world charm and original paintings on stone, made for a dinner we’ll remember for a lifetime. Grazie Mille Signore Cucuzza! Piacere!

This beautiful historic hotel was amazing to see, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and very nice. They lent us an outlet adapter and tried to help where they could. The problems were in our room: the AC wasn’t working properly, and the shower nearly overflowed pretty quickly, so we had to keep our showers very short. There were no full-length mirrors either, which made getting ready for a wedding difficult.
