We won't forget how kind Alessia, Frank, and their family were. On the day we were leaving for Syracuse, a strike meant we lost our transportation. We contacted Alessia to ask for a taxi company recommendation from the train station, and she offered to have Frank's father drive us to Syracuse, nearly a two-hour trip. Frank's parents were warm and lovely, and even stopped in Modica so we could take pictures. The apartment was cute, cozy, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We picked it for easy access to the bus and train stations. Ibla, the Old Town, is about a 30-40 minute walk away, though you can conveniently take a bus or taxi. From booking through self-check-in, Alessia kept in touch on WhatsApp with instructions, information about the room's amenities and equipment, and lots of useful tips about the city. She sent a walking guide to Ragusa Ibla, bus routes, restaurant suggestions, and even a YouTube video showing the walk to the Old Town.

The mattress was the best we’ve had on this trip, and the place was spotless and clearly well cared for. It’s simple, but has what you need, with everything in walking distance and easy free parking nearby. The owner got back to us quickly, and we’d happily return. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and the top room is on the third floor.

We felt lucky to stay here. The hosts were lovely, quick to answer, and ready to help with every question or little issue that came up. I’d absolutely recommend the apartment.
