Valle dei Mulini

The pool was the biggest letdown. It turned green, even though we used it every day and tried to clean it each evening. I'm not convinced the water was treated at all, and the owner never came to check the chlorine levels. We were six people staying for a week, and I'd warn others against booking. Some things didn't work, the rooms smelled musty, the kitchen wasn't especially clean, the gas bottle ran out with no spare, and a couple of bathrooms stank. The accommodation has real potential and seems to have been well cared for in the past, but now it feels tired and unloved. I appreciate rustic Sicilian charm, but after seeing the Airbnb photos, the place was a real disappointment in person.
