Albergo Hotel Bandoni

The cafe by the bar overcharged us by more than 50% for what we ate and drank. I had to argue at the bar to get some money back, and they still didn’t return the full amount owed.

The dinner was so small that I stayed hungry all night, and I couldn’t go out to get anything because I couldn’t get back in. They lock the hotel entrance from 1am to 8am. You can leave, but there’s no way back and they don’t give you an entrance key. There’s no air conditioning or fan in the rooms, so you have to open the windows and get eaten by mosquitoes. For this one-star hotel, he wanted 100 € for ONE night. We agreed on 80 €, but then he entered me in the region’s hotel system as unpaid, which caused big problems at the next hotel. Don’t go there, you’d be making a big mistake.

The promenade view is nice, and it’s only a five-minute walk from the station. The price we paid probably reflects how dated the interior is, though the hotel is let down by it. The bedrooms could use general modernisation and air conditioning. Sleeping on lumpy mattresses on fold-out beds wasn’t ideal.

The staff were friendly, though they didn’t seem very interested. The furniture is old and worn, parking isn’t free either. The walls are paper-thin, and the shower swings between scorching hot and extremely cold. The bed felt like a trampoline. Only stay here if you have to. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and pick somewhere else.
