The location is great, and the pillows were comfortable, but it felt more like an apartment building than a hotel. It’s okay that it’s in a building with apartments, but it’s pricey for what it is, and location is really its main advantage. Leave a window open and mosquitoes will greet you. The walls are so thin you can hear the next room as if they’re right beside you. The staff were friendly, though.

The day receptionist was very nice, and breakfast was good. The hotel is on the fifth floor of a building, with no parking, so you have to haul your luggage through the streets to get there. The rooms are close together and the reception area is noisy, and we barely slept. The view was okay.

We found a previous guest’s toenail in our room. This isn’t the place for a relaxing holiday, unless you’re a big karaoke fan. The bar downstairs plays awful karaoke so loudly it feels like there’s a live concert in your room, even with the window shut, and it goes on past 1am. There was no chance of sleeping. We’d booked four nights but left after the first because we knew the karaoke would start again.

There were ants everywhere, the staff were unfriendly, the beds were hard, and water ran from the shower and under the floorboards, making gurgling sounds. The “hotel” is on the fifth floor of a creepy building. If you can put up with all that, I can recommend this hole. The pictures show the actual entrance and elevator.

We were lucky to get a lovely view of the nearby chapel and the mountains. There are plenty of good restaurants close by, and the private beach is a five-minute walk away. The hotel is on the building’s fifth floor, with nowhere to park beside it, so if you’re driving you’ll need to park somewhere else and carry your things in. The triple room was just enough space for three.
