Appartamento Beautiful Panorama

Portofino Est Residence sits high above San Michele di Pagana, with spectacular views over the Gulf of Tigullio and a beautiful coastline of towns and villages, including Rapallo and Santa Margherita Ligure. The resort is open year-round, with a pool and tennis courts, and most units have a balcony, terrace, or garden. But the hillside is very steep, parking is scarce, and there isn't much else there. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with mobility issues. You'll need a car to get around, and be ready for plenty of uphill and downhill walking, including between the parking area and the rooms. Nothing, even our car, was an easy walk away. This isn't a place to just hang out. Our room was dirty, the bed and pillows were awful, and sheets cost extra. The tile floor was cracked. Wi-Fi was intermittent at best, and only worked around the cafe, with a new pass key needed each day. Staff were available only between 9 -12PM and 3 - 6PM. Shuttle service was intermittent too. It's fine as a base for exploring the area. If you plan to spend most of your time in Rapallo or at the resort, I'd pick a hotel closer to town or somewhere else.
