The lot is near the train station, but the ground at the first section is so uneven that parking there is almost impossible. The central spaces are free, while the outer ones are for residents. Farther up there's another lot with a smoother surface. There, the middle section is free and the outer section requires a two-hour parking disc. Free parking is scarce in Rapallo, so I hope the municipality repairs the pavement and makes the few available spaces usable.

It's easy to find and access this two-level parking lot next to Rapallo station. Handy for catching a train, and the town center is also close enough to walk to. It works well for shopping or visiting the coast, and the cable car is within walking distance too. The spaces are a bit tight, so cars end up parked fairly close together. Parking is free for up to two hours.

Those pine roots may lift a few parking spots, but with parking so scarce, that hardly matters. This two-level lot is a real relief: white spaces sit beneath the lovely pines, yellow ones are for ground-floor residents, and blue spaces are timed for two hours. It's handy for the train, especially if you get off at platform 2 for Chiavari, and for walking into Rapallo. Glad this place is here!

At first glance, this free lot seems convenient and central, but I wouldn't consider it safe. On the night of September 2 to 3, 2020, someone smashed a car window and stole my mountain bike, worth about €2,500, an empty backpack, and two blankets. Beer bottles were taken too, partly drunk, then left in the car park. Two other cars with Italian plates were broken into that night as well. The police seemed overwhelmed and at times unmotivated. A patrol car only came to look into it after our accommodation host called them.
