Rosa E Valentin

Getting to Ravelo was rough. The Sita bus passed me several times without stopping, the sun was scorching, and Google Maps sent me to the wrong stop. Then I spent two hours climbing endless stairs with a sore back. After I fell, I couldn’t go back down, and I was afraid the road would disappear. There were abandoned houses around and grass growing everywhere. But stepping into Rosa e Valentino and seeing the beautiful garden made the struggle feel worthwhile. Carlo’s family welcomed me like one of their own and checked whether I needed anything. The map of Ravelo that Carlo gave me was incredibly useful. When I finally arrived, I wanted to cry and go back to my home in Korea. Now, though, I don’t want to leave this beautiful town or Rosa e Valentino. I hope to return on a future vacation and stay longer. You can feel the history that began with Carlo’s grandfather in the beautiful, clean, comfortable Rosa e Valentino. A hearty breakfast is a lovely way to start the day. I hope Carlo’s family and everyone who visits here will be happy.

Carlo and his family are so accommodating, and the garden is a pleasure to spend time in. There’s a lot of work put into it. With the beautiful views and local shops and restaurants close by, this is one of the best places I’ve stayed in Italy.

I travelled here with friends and family, and Carlo, Anna Maria, and Nonno Valentino were such lovely people. Their kindness and hospitality were second to none. The homemade meals were delicious, and we’ll definitely be back!
