Mare Pineta

We first stayed at the end of August 2023 and came back the following year. On our return, things had improved: there are now signs around the camp showing what’s where, and the bathroom in our bungalow had been completely renovated. The bungalows are old and some things could use repair, especially the bathroom and shower cabin, but everything worked and was clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The shop had plenty of stock at okay prices, and the restaurant was excellent, with delicious food that wasn’t expensive. Staff were friendly and the animators were fantastic. The pools were large and clean enough, though they could use a little tidying up, their age shows. The beach is really close, about 200-300m away. The walk back is shaded by pine trees, and the approach is easy unless you have a stroller. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, though some careless people bring them anyway. It’s good that cars aren’t allowed into the camp except on Saturdays. We’d heard lots of complaints about mosquitoes, but at the end of August they weren’t too bad. The camp isn’t perfect, but for the price I was more than happy with it. See you next year.

Our two toddlers loved the pool, and when it came to choosing between the pool and the sea, the water slides won every day. The house is a bit old but has everything you need. We also thought the restaurant was very good and the service around the place was good. We really liked staying here and would happily come again.

Alessandro and the rest of the animation team were so good. If you’re looking for a fun camping holiday, I recommend this place. Loved it.

The pools are awesome. I was a little worried after reading complaints about mosquitoes and bungalow cleanliness, but it all turned out fine. The mosquitoes are manageable. My tip is not to go outside after 8 p.m. or they’ll eat you alive, though you’re near the woods, so you should expect them.
