I felt unwelcome throughout my stay. There was no host in person, only online check-in with a virtual key, and I didn’t see anyone. I had a confirmation for breakfast, but there was none. Getting answers online was difficult, and the owner replied only in Italian and was unfriendly. The bathroom ceiling had mold, the floor tiles were dirty, and the kitchen was old with a plastic bag of waste left on the floor. Terrible experience.

The host was welcoming, as was Johnny the dog. It’s a short, safe ten-minute walk from the railway station, and the central town is easy to reach on foot too. The place is in a quiet area near a park, and breakfast is included and good. The large room could use a little care, especially the bathroom.

Room 4 was spotless and looked after, with a really big bathroom. Breakfast was the usual Italian sweet kind, and there was coffee and tea available. The host was great, and the hotel is in a lovely spot.

The hosts were friendly, and we had a very comfortable, spacious bed. The hotel backs onto a lovely park and is an easy walk from the main sights. I'd happily stay again.

We had a great stopover before our cruise. The dining and nightlife around the Piazza were great too.
