Parking was the main drawback for me: spaces are limited, and it’s paid parking at outrageous prices. The narrow stairs up to the rooms were awkward too, especially since I had strollers to carry. The B&B itself is excellent, right in the heart of Ravenna on the pedestrian shopping street. It’s well kept and beautifully furnished, with bright, spacious rooms that were especially quiet.

Marco and his mother were so kind and ready to answer anything we wanted to know. The place is beautiful, with big, clean rooms and tasteful decor. The mattresses were the most comfortable I’ve ever come across, and there’s real attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious too. I could hardly leave the table. Keep it up, Marco. We’ll be back soon.

Breakfast at 8:30 felt a bit late to me, so I’d suggest starting earlier. I stayed for two nights, and for some reason we had no shower gel on the second day. We used soap, but it isn’t quite the same. The room was really nice and cozy, and the owners were kind and helpful. I’d recommend the place.

The sound carries badly inside: we could hear everything from upstairs, the hallway, and the other rooms. There were also occasional heating and hot water problems, though I imagine something was wrong with the system and they were working on it. Guest communication could be better. There’s no elevator, but it’s only one flight of stairs. The renovation, which was done a little over a year ago, is excellent and clearly has an architect’s touch. Everything was new and spotless, the room was very spacious, and the bathroom was large and comfortable. It’s very central, well furnished, with perfect fixtures and comfortable beds, including the sofa bed. Linens were changed every two days. The breakfast room was rather cramped, though it didn’t bother us much. I imagine breakfast is served in the courtyard in summer, which is worth considering.

We stayed at Yard 19 as a family for two nights, from August 11th to 13th. Ravenna is beautiful, and our triple room had been converted to a quadruple, but there was still plenty of space. It was spotless and nicely decorated, and the double bed had an excellent, very comfortable mattress. Breakfast was exquisite, served in a cozy attic kitchen. The best part was Marco and his mother, who were always warm and welcoming. Such a lovely trait of the people of Romagna. Well done.
