Palazzo Dalla Casapiccola

The garden is lovely and well cared for, with a beautiful view, and you get a lovely outlook from the bedroom window as well. This is an old noble residence right in Recanati's historic center, close to Casa Leopardi and the other beautiful sights. The owner greets guests herself and is very kind, paying close attention to what they need. Maggie, her sweet dog, is there to welcome you too. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I would suggest updating the restrooms a little. Thank you, and a hug to little Maggie.

The only thing I found a bit inconvenient was breakfast being served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Since people are heading to the beach, starting an hour earlier would help. There is a kettle in the room with coffee and tea bags for situations like that, though. The rooms are spacious and clean, with antique furniture, and both the owner and staff are friendly and helpful.

Those cellars cut into the tuff rock put me in mind of Roman catacombs. The house is an ancient noble palace, carefully renovated, with large rooms, a garden looking out over the valley, beautiful views, a gym, and a breakfast that's put together with care. It's in the heart of Recanati, a city rich in the history of the poet Leopardi. A great place to visit his birthplace and get a feel for the atmosphere the great poet lived in.

We stayed August 17-20, 2020, and found it romantic and welcoming. The building has real period character, and the room was styled with lovely taste. There's a beautiful garden and the location is right in the center. Breakfast was generous, and our hostess was very kind.
