We went to Da O Vittorio on our landlord’s recommendation for good fish. It was fully booked when we tried for lunch on the last Sunday of our vacation, but we got an evening table and could bring our dog. Parking can be difficult, so leave plenty of time. We had a nice chat with the junior manager, then a wonderful Italian waiter looked after us and gave us perfect suggestions. The wine list is excellent and very reasonably priced. We ordered the fish platter as a starter, and the kitchen also sent out two pieces of focaccia al formaggio di Recco as a greeting. Both dishes were excellent. My wife’s award-winning fish soup was perfect, and I loved the porcini mushroom trilogy. We were already full and very happy, but still had the three chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was outstanding and magnificent. You’ll enjoy it and feel at home. Thanks to the restaurant and its team!

The food was simple and delicious, and it really did feel like dining with family. We came for lunch after seeing the restaurant recommended in the Michelin guide. It was busy, but the waiters stayed kind and attentive. We assume the owner welcomed us personally, and since we had a dog, we were given a quiet table.

The restaurant food and service were good, and I’d go back for dinner. Our room, though, was in a separate building, old, not very clean, and definitely not worth the price. Check the pictures. Breakfast was below the restaurant’s standard, with little choice. The atmosphere felt like a canteen, and the selection was limited, though I know Italians don’t really care for breakfast.

We had an amazing meal, from the legendary focaccia to the spaghetti alla saracena with seafood and the vitello all’uccelletto con Funghi porcini with veal and mushrooms. Battia Bisso helped us book on WhatsApp, and the experience started off great. After dinner, the train and taxi weren’t good options. The owner’s son kindly offered to drive us back to our Comogli hotel in his own car, saving us cost and hassle. Unbelievable, so kind. This place is the best! VictorB

I always return to Da Ö Vittorio when I’m in Recco, and it never lets me down. The place has a lovely atmosphere. Their famous focaccia al formaggio was crisp outside and creamy inside, just delicious. I also had a beautifully presented salmon dish with senso and edible flowers, with refined, balanced flavors. A cup of ice cream made a perfect finish. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the service is always attentive and welcoming. A must-visit in Recco!
