The silence made for a great night's sleep, and breakfast had a nice range of foods, including lactose-free and gluten-free options. We arrived around 11pm after a long 4 hour drive with two exhausted kids. Someone quickly showed us to a spacious, clean, nicely decorated room. Even though the kitchen had closed, they brought several dishes up for the children free of charge, then served us a lovely dinner in the main hall with wine they make themselves. Very happy with the stay, and we'd come back.

Sonia and her family made us feel so welcome, with a personal touch that was hard to beat. They upgraded us to a large, quiet, spotless room with private parking. We ate at their restaurant twice because the homemade food was fabulous and true to Tuscan tradition. Breakfast was good too, and the location worked well, close to Florence and Arezzo. All in all, an unforgettable stay.

Il Crocicchio was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. My wife and I stayed there for 5 nights, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and wonderfully relaxing in the Tuscan countryside. The food deserves a special mention: over two weeks we ate our way around Tuscany, Rome, and Sorrento, and this was hands down the best of it all. We're telling all our friends to stay at Il Crocicchio if they visit Italy.

The staff were lovely, and we wish them all the best. It's a friendly, laid-back place with what was probably the best food we had in Tuscany, and we tried more than a few dozen places to compare. Highly recommend it.

The food and accommodation are both really high quality. Service feels warm and familiar without getting in your way, and the place is quiet and relaxing. I'd recommend it for couples, families with children, or anyone after some downtime and good food.
