We checked in at 3 PM and left after dark, after finding dozens of cockroaches in the bathroom, from tiny ones to very large ones. The room was in a run-down, dirty courtyard, with cracked walls and only a cursory clean. Never again. When we contacted the owner, she said the property had never had this kind of problem and blamed us for leaving the bathroom window open. The bathroom has no windows. She suggested they might have come in that way. The next day, she changed her story and admitted there was a problem, saying she’d tried to deal with it using pest control. She refunded half the amount. We stayed in September 2024. Dilapidated and infested with cockroaches.

The floor was dirty, and we even found cigarettes in the toilet. The door frames weren’t fitted properly, leaving places for cockroaches to hide, and the badly installed baseboards made us worry about more unpleasant surprises there. We arrived in the evening and found cockroaches while starting to clean the apartment. We reported them but were told nothing could be done. We left the day after we arrived.

The apartment was spacious, clean, and reasonably priced. It’s handy for boarding at the port, though a long way from the city center. Breakfast at the nearby café was good.

The host was unreliable and unprofessional. After several calls and messages trying to reach him, the guest had to wait two hours for him to come and hand over the keys.
