Mrs. Lucia gave us an excellent welcome and was kind and helpful. If asked, she can suggest places to visit. The house was spotless and very quiet, and the location made it easy to get around on foot or by public transport. Highly recommend the apartment. Reggio Calabria is beautiful too.

I chose this apartment for a 30-day rental because it allowed pets and advertised free parking. I didn't end up using the parking. The place is near the centre, with a balcony, and it was nice and clean, but it was not worth the money to me. From the first day, I felt monitored. The landlady told me there were cameras all around the yard and that she was watching me. That was extremely unpleasant. I had rented somewhere to relax, not feel under total control. Since the 1,155 euros rent was non-refundable, I decided to stay. The furniture was old and worn. The kitchen cupboards were hard to open, and the wardrobe door had sagged with age, but the landlady accused me of breaking it. There were very few dishes, which made cooking difficult. No oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, or clothes dryer. The WiFi was poor, as was the router in the owner's other apartment. To upload videos I had to stand by the door with my laptop, and the internet kept cutting out, so I used my 3G connection. The apartment was extremely cold, and I often had to turn on the air conditioner to warm it. I rent apartments often because I love traveling, so I know what to expect. I was staying with a Sphynx cat. He constantly sheds tears that leave dark stains, and his skin has a brown tint that also showed on the white bed linen. The owner accused me of using the bathroom in the bed, which was very unpleasant. What would she have said if the cat had fur? Washing bed linen after each tenant, stains or no stains, is the property owner's responsibility. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but after being accused of something unclear, I decided to tell the truth about this place.

During the pandemic, six months ago, I came to Reggio Calabria to complete my pregnancy. After I was suddenly hospitalized and discharged, the doctors told me to rest and stay in Reggio Calabria because the birth was near. I was in a difficult spot, at risk in my pregnancy, with every B&B and hotel closed, and needed a room near Riuniti hospital. Friends helped me find Mrs. Lucia, who understood my situation and welcomed me to VILLA ANNA. It was a clean, welcoming place, and I had a pleasant stay, one of my best since giving birth to my baby. Just a few steps from the city centre, this is a refined, welcoming, clean place in a quiet residential area. The hostess was kind and punctual, which made the stay even nicer. ❤
