Airone Hotel

The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. Staff were nice, and everything was clean. Breakfast didn't have much choice, but what was there tasted good. Totally fine for my business trip.

I booked a hostel room for a concert and have never seen anything this bad. It was basically an empty office with eight broken beds. There was one dirty bathroom for eight people, and the so-called shower was over the toilet. Staff even let a group of girls into our room when they weren't staying at the hotel, because they felt sorry for them in the rain. I paid 100€ for one night. I complained through booking.com, but they couldn't reach the hotel and couldn't help. It doesn't deserve even one star. Don't stay there!

The good part was dinner: we were happy with the food and service, the young waitress was helpful, and we enjoyed the wine. We also slept well in the end. But honestly, I wouldn't stay again. This is a very tired, dated hotel. We booked two rooms. The first smelled strongly of fish, so the kind staff moved us, but the replacement smelled of tobacco. The family room we'd booked was also dated, with a shower peeling at the bottom and clearly needing replacement. When we sat on the bed, it collapsed at the foot. Most of the wooden supports underneath the mattress were missing, so I complained and we were moved again. That room was tired too, though clean. It had a jacuzzi bath, but the jets looked rusty. The shower head was above the bath with no screen, so you had to sit in the bath to avoid soaking the bathroom. On the plus side, there was shampoo and plenty of towels. The advertised hairdryer was there, but extremely low-power. We hadn't planned to eat at the hotel because we were concerned about cleanliness, but a bad storm meant we ate in.

The location is handy if you're going to a concert or event at RCF Arena. We arrived around 2pm, and heavy rain started. No hosts were around, so we sheltered under their gazebos. Then a very angry lady came over and said we couldn't stay without consuming anything. When someone asked, she said he had to go around to the back of the hotel to pay and get food, then come back. She showed no kindness. We weren't going to stay all day, just wait out the heavy rain. About 20 minutes later it stopped and we left. She didn't come back. I'd have liked to see her come back out in that storm.
