The staff were lovely, and the hotel is stunningly beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. We had one small issue with the shower and toilet, but they fixed it within an hour.

The rooms are okay and the hotel itself is nice, but I wouldn't stay here for a comfortable, peaceful visit. I was there for 8 nights and every evening had to listen to extremely noisy events in the piazza right outside my windows. One night it was a street basketball tournament, another there was a cheesy cover band playing old tunes. Guests weren't even told about the events. Ridiculous. Stay away if you want quiet evenings.

The old part of the hotel is beautiful and has a fascinating history, so ask the staff to show you around. We arrived soaked and bedraggled after cycling, and the team dried our clothes and looked after us throughout our two nights in October. They were incredibly accommodating. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Reggia Emilia.

What stood out most was the service. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to the breakfast team and the tea salon bartenders, was consistently wonderful. The management deserves credit for keeping such a good team together, and I really appreciated my stay with the whole Hotel Posta team. The rooms were excellent too. I’d be happy to stay here again in Reggio Emilia.
