Albergo Ristorante Canin

It was okay.

For a single night, it's perfectly decent. I slept well.

The rooms stayed quiet with the windows shut, and there was plenty for breakfast. We were eight motorcyclists staying one night, booked through Booking.com, and were quite satisfied. The room was clean and roomy, the pizzas were very good, and the price felt fair. A covered spot for the bikes would've been handy. It worked well as a short stop.

Even the low price doesn't make up for what a gamble this hotel is, and I strongly advise against staying there. I review around 25 hotels a year on forums because I travel a lot. Many get good or very good ratings, and some are satisfactory, but this place is completely unacceptable. It's a run-down dive beside a gas station on an ugly, noisy main road. The small rooms reek of sewage and other unpleasant smells, and the hallways smell of sweat. Sure, it's very, very cheap, so some compromises are expected, but it should still be clean and free of bad odors. It doesn't deserve 3 stars, maybe 0.5 at most. The staff are ignorant and unfriendly. They hand rooms that were booked with a credit card and guaranteed within the stated arrival time to other guests, without reason, shame, or apology. Then you're left without a hotel for the evening.
