I’d booked five nights, but my flight was interrupted and I arrived after 8 on the second night. I called the owner, who hung up because he couldn’t speak English. I tried calling a couple more times, but he didn’t answer. When I showed up the next day, he said my booking had been canceled and the room given to someone else. He wouldn’t refund my money. I’d paid the full hotel cost, yet because I missed the first two nights, my reservation was canceled and reassigned, and I wasn’t refunded for the rest of the stay I was supposed to have. He made no attempt to help and just told me to contact Expedia.

The cold was sorted out quickly, and we even got breakfast vouchers. Milan was below freezing when we arrived, so the room felt very cold, but the staff really tried to make things right. The owner brought us a space heater. The room itself was clean and roomy.

Mattia was so kind and helpful, and the bathroom was spotless. We had a lovely short break, with a comfortable room and the train station close by, so reaching Milan was easy without moving the car. We’d happily come back if we’re in the area again, and definitely recommend it.
