Hotel Esperia

The WiFi worked well, the room had air-conditioning, and the station was nearby. Still, this was near the bottom of my list, though I travel to hotels a lot for work as a salesman. I got maybe four hours of sleep that night, and one star would be generous. The walls were so thin it felt like I was sharing a room with the neighbors, and the bed was uncomfortable. There was only cold water, even in the shower. The receptionist's English was hard to follow, and breakfast was pretty meh. How does this place get three stars?

The station is just a two-minute walk away, which is really convenient, and the staff are very kind. Parking is available too, though it costs EUR12 per night.

It was clean, and the location right by the station was handy. Those are about the only things I liked. The hotel feels very dated, the internet was painfully slow at 5-10 Mbps down, and the mattress was rock hard. There weren't any comfortable chairs in the room either. The front desk staff were efficient, but not friendly. The key was also bizarre: a really heavy metal key on a weighted key chain, which you're asked to leave at reception whenever you go out. Wouldn't stay again.

The staff were nice, though the rooms felt old and there was a bit of noise.
