Our room wasn’t available when we arrived, even though we’d booked 30 days ahead. The owner drove us miles out to a house in the middle of nowhere, away from anything to do, and we had neither dinner nor a car. The bathroom was awful and had no bidet, while the room door was glass and opened onto a kitchen shared with the other guests. The lady was nice, at least.

After just four nights of the six we booked, a group of criminals turned up and caused chaos overnight, even though other people hadn’t seen them. I have heart problems and other health issues. When we told Mrs. Giovanna we wanted to leave, we were threatened with damage during the night and told she would take the extra money from our card. The room I’d booked wasn’t the one I got. The place is run by a cynical, sharp-tongued woman, and I’d warn disabled guests, families with children, women traveling alone, and LGBTQ+ people away. It felt dangerous, and they’ll try to rob Mrs. Giovanna. She even laughed at a disabled person who couldn’t climb the stairs. What kind of business is that? I also booked through Booking.com, but they canceled the reservation and then still let you stay, demanding cash without giving a receipt. Six nights here was a terrible mistake. Never again. It’s a horrible place for drunks bringing prostitutes to their rooms for orgies. And apparently they buy positive online comments by offering discounts. Shame on you!

There was a hole in the outside wall of the room, the shutter was broken, and there wasn’t a switch inside the room to turn off the light. We also got no receipt, which made us wonder whether they’d even registered the Booking.com reservation. There’s no sign, so we had to ring every resident in the building, and nobody answered either the landline or the mobile. A terrible experience.
