The view is lovely, and there’s a play area for kids, but what really made this place special was the food and the people. Everything was homemade, with vegetables grown on the land, and it tasted more delicious and nourishing than I could have imagined. It felt like eating at my grandma’s house. Laura and her husband are the sweetest hosts, and this family-run place really knows how to make you feel welcome. After a nightmare experience with another host, we found them through Airbnb. Even though their restaurant was closed on their night off, they offered to cook for us and made a whole range of courses. I’ve spent months at a time traveling around Italy for years, and this is a rare find.
