The views of Cape Vaticano are spectacular, but our stay wasn’t worth it. We were treated like second-class guests, and things weren’t as advertised. With a wedding on, we couldn’t use the pool; when a movie was being filmed, the beach was off limits. I don’t mind losing access for a day, but during my whole stay there was only one day when I could use the facilities. Worse, wedding fireworks at 1:30am startled us badly, with no warning at all. Meals are served in an isolated area with no views, not by the pool. The pool bar only serves drinks. Breakfast was below average. The coffee made me nauseous, and rusks with jam were all I could eat. At dinner there was no menu, which was frustrating. It felt like we were being given food from whatever event was happening. The pasta was better, but the other dishes were poor in quality and presentation. I’ve had much better food elsewhere in Italy. We appreciated the free room upgrade and partial sea view. There was a drying rack and the beds were comfortable, but no complimentary water. Reception controls the air conditioning, and it took a long time to get going, which was annoying while carrying luggage upstairs on a hot day. The hotel needs changes and doesn’t deserve four stars, though the reception staff were nice.

The bathrooms need better lighting. It feels like sunset in there. The staff are mostly very friendly, though a couple of the dining room crew came across as odd and unfriendly. The setting is top notch, with one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever experienced. The interiors and grounds are clean and luxurious, and you can enjoy the pool, cocktail lounge, sea view, and beach with its clear light blue water. Great for families and kids, recommended 👌🏻

The views are great from everywhere, and if you enjoy walking and are able to, it’s easy to walk from here to the rocks of Capo Vatica. I’m so grateful to all the wonderful people who work hard to create lovely experiences. Santi and Filipo showed such passion and patience in looking after us. I couldn’t be more thankful for the excellent service from the hotel team.

We’re loving it here, even though it’s not your typical package holiday hotel. The pool area is nice, and the food is very good, if a little limited. The friendly staff make up for that.

The rooms are spacious and renovated, and many come with a wide sea view and a private garden. There’s a lovely private beach below, but getting down safely is a problem. The photo shows the easiest section of the route, including the stairs.
