Hotel Alabama Riccione

The location makes everything easy, with the beach just nearby and a quiet, well-served area. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Rooms are small but very clean and have what you need. We took full board with packed lunches. The simple rice salads or cold pasta came in aluminum containers, which worked well at the beach, filling us up without feeling heavy. The beach itself is close and well-equipped, and the hotel also has bicycles for rent. Food varied in quality, sometimes very good and sometimes more modest because frozen products are used. It was never greasy or heavy, though, and the portions were just right.

The waiters were really friendly and kind. We stayed for two weeks in August with our child and dog, on an all-inclusive package covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, the beach, and dogs. Our room was a bit small, and the elevator felt tight if you had a stroller. We also didn't get the beautiful sea view mentioned in the hotel description. Families with little kids should keep an eye on the outdoor sofa area, since a child could quickly get into the street. Parking and cafes weren't included. I'd look for parking somewhere else: cars were parked in the middle of the small road, and we found ours scratched.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and each day they prepared a special snack for my 8-month-old son. The beach is only a minute away on foot. The room was the weak point. We had a standard double, and it was really small, though it did have almost everything needed. There was no fridge or safe, and some updating would help. Silicone smears across the bathroom tiles make them look dirty. It wouldn't take much to improve things.
