Hotel Mehari Riccione

Hotel Mehari was a complete failure for me. The owners were rude, the rooms small and uncomfortable, and cleanliness was minimal. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi didn't always work. The menu was repetitive, the portions small, and the home cooking below par. The buffet had only vegetables, and the rule was "first come, first served." I wouldn't recommend it for children because it couldn't provide adequate nutrition. The pool wasn't very clean either. I was ripped off once and won't be back. It's right beside the railway line, with a train passing every 5 minutes.

The owners were genuinely helpful and friendly, and the location near the center was convenient. But we expected much more from our week here with four young people. Towels went unchanged for four days. Each day they were just folded and put back on the bed. Meals and breakfast weren't up to the standard of a 3-star hotel. If you arrived 15 minutes late and the buffet had run out, it was almost never replenished, so you had to make do with something else. There wasn't much choice, just two first courses, pasta or soup, and the pasta was nearly always undercooked. One evening's carbonara was basically pasta without the pasta. We were right next to the railway, so trains could be heard all day and night. Still, being in the center was convenient.

A very bad experience. The pool was the only plus. The location could have been good, if not for the railway 20m away, with trains rushing past at all hours, day and night. The room was tiny. Staff were kind, but I'd rather not comment on the managers, mother and son, since they aren't here to respond and that wouldn't seem fair. I wouldn't recommend it unless the pool is a must for you. There's much better in Riccione.

Hotel Mehari feels like home to me, warm and full of people who make me feel good. Maria, you saw that I wrote a review! If you're looking for a Grand Hotel, go to the Grand Hotel. But if you'd like to eat well, spend little, relax, and meet truly welcoming, friendly people who do all they can to make your holiday feel like time among friends, I'd recommend Hotel Mehari. Clean, kind, professional, friendly. Long live Maria, her husband, Giusy, Karim, and all the hotel staff. Long live Riccione and Hotel Mehari, and Maria, who put up with me and made everything right.
