Hotel Nord Est

I wasn’t a guest at this hotel. I passed it every day with my child. One evening, Saturday 6/9/25, at around 8 pm, a car was blocking all of Via Foscolo. My son and I were on foot and couldn’t get through. After waiting about five minutes, I asked the people in the car if they could move it, since it was blocking us and a line of cars behind them was rightly honking and complaining. Then someone came up behind me, apparently the owner or an employee of Hotel Nord Est, and verbally attacked me with insults and threats. He said, “Go, go, or you’ll see what I’ll do to you.” I asked if he was speaking to me, and as he came closer he repeated it. I wanted to react and call the police, but didn’t want to upset my son, especially since we were leaving at the end of our holiday. He deserved to be reported. There were many people who could have testified that he attacked me for no reason, even though I was speaking to the people in the car and he had nothing to do with it. I’ve been coming to Riccione a couple of times a year for 25 years, and I like trying hotels. I’ve tried almost all of them and would have liked to try this one too, but after this incident I won’t consider it and will never recommend it. I feel sorry for the people who work there, but because of one ignorant, rude person, I won’t recommend anyone come.

The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were really helpful. I had a great stay. It’s also in a very convenient spot close to the beach. I think two stars undersell the place, since it’s completely new and renovated. Breakfast included some very good cakes, even vegan ones. Fruit was the one thing missing, unfortunately, though I think they’ll work on that in the future. I recommend it.

We had a great weekend on the Riviera, and this was a lovely find. The Hotel Nord Est in Riccione is modern and spotlessly clean, with welcoming staff who were happy to help. Breakfast was excellent too. The beach and Riccione’s fantastic seafront are just a few steps away. I’ll definitely come back.

The location is good, but that’s about the only positive. The hotel looks as if it’s closing or being renovated: cables are exposed all over, the walls and linens are shabby, and the face and bath towels look prehistoric. Breakfast is included, and I’ll let you guess why. A disastrous stay.
