We arrived later than planned, but the owner waited for us, showed us around and welcomed us in person. The apartment was spotless. With wood throughout and a fireplace, it feels warm and inviting, especially for winter evenings. Everything we needed was easy to reach from this convenient location. We'd gladly return, even for a longer stay.

The second studio was a little cleaner, but still dusty, so it isn't a good fit for anyone with allergies. It was also stiflingly hot. I woke up coughing, and we had to open the windows wide to breathe, but there were no mosquito screens, so we worried about letting something in. We turned off the shared heating and tried the air conditioning, yet the room was 43 degrees Celsius. I'm not joking, we tried sleeping for two hours in a completely wooden room at 43 degrees. I've attached photos of the filthy room. We'd first been shown to another apartment by a woman who seemed completely indifferent. There was hair and fur everywhere, yellow stains on the pillows, hair on the toilet, and a nauseating smell in every room. The owner said she'd call the cleaner right away. The cleaner was the same woman who had greeted us, but she took an hour and a half to arrive, at 5 PM, and fixed absolutely nothing. She kept saying she'd cleaned that morning. Then she called the owner outside, and we could hear her suggesting that we might have put the long black hair on the toilet ourselves, even though I'm blonde and my boyfriend has short dark hair. The owner suggested we move to another nearby studio, but by then a lot of time had passed, from 5:10 PM to 6:30 PM. We went anyway. There was only one bed for the two of us, though we're a couple and wanted to sleep together. Don't go, it's truly a squalid place.

After a day of hiking and sports, we loved coming back to the fireplace in the evening. It made staying in feel magical. The place was clean, simply furnished but had all the comforts we needed, and was tastefully done. It's central, with a lovely view and easy access to amenities and the ski slopes.

The owner was kind and quick to communicate. We did run into an issue, but it was sorted out promptly. I've seen reviews that may be true, but I felt they were unfair to people who make a real effort to be hospitable, and they weren't constructive. The apartment is charming and comfortable, especially with its fireplace. As skiers, we found the central location handy, with restaurants and mini markets just steps away. We paid below the area's average price, based on the comparison we made on Booking.com before booking.
