The place has charm, and I'd say it was clean, but it's hard to tell clearly what they're offering. I've rented houses and B&Bs on many trips, and I've never felt like such an unwelcome guest. The lady seemed worried about getting us out in the morning because she said other guests were coming, but that should have been made clear before we booked. They should also explain upfront that the money won't be refunded if a guest changes their mind. They don't want to rent to anyone staying just one night because they have a wedding. Check-out was listed as 10/10:30, so that's what we expected, but when we arrived, they changed it and said we had to leave at 9:30. We had also asked to arrive at 2:00 PM because the wedding started at 4:00 PM and we wanted time to freshen up and get dressed without rushing. Their reaction made it feel like we'd asked them to bring caviar to our room. If you're staying in that area, check everything before paying.

I booked three nights six months ahead for four adults and four children, with three bedrooms. The owner had even said she would cook lunch for us. Three days before we were due to arrive, I asked what time check-in was and she cancelled the reservation. Now I've already booked and paid for all the activities for those four days, and I can't find accommodation for my whole family.

I've stayed in plenty of B&Bs, and breakfast has always been there for me as something really important. If they offer it, it should be packaged food, not an old, dry tart. The coffee came in cups taken from an old cupboard without even being rinsed. Cleanliness gets a zero. I could say a lot more.

The B&B has a warm, family feel, and the owner is kind and really helpful. Everything was very clean. Just note that it’s on a side street, rather than directly on Via Chiesa Nuova.

A quiet, spotless place to stay, made even nicer by Giovanna’s kindness and courtesy. The B&B is only a few kilometers from the La Scintilla ski slope.
