The villa was such a lovely place for our big family, and the pool was just right. We had a wonderful week, one of the best parts of our trip around Europe. It’s right by a busy road, so bear that in mind. The nearby community and its artisan shops are charming, though. Florence is reachable by bus from a stop a short walk away, but Uber was hard to get and very expensive. If you can, I’d recommend renting a car. We also went wine tasting and truffle hunting next door at Torre A Cona. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

The beautiful views, roomy quarters, and well-equipped kitchens were real pluses, and the location worked well for food shopping and sightseeing. Giulia, the property manager, was incredibly charming and helpful. Still, we can’t recommend the place because of the near-constant daytime traffic noise. There’s a fairly busy road just beyond the villa wall, with buses, trucks, cars, and motorbikes passing. You can also hear the major autostrada in the valley below. Closing the windows is the only way to block the noise. The quarters are spacious but plain.

We had a lovely stay over Easter, and it’s a nice place for kids to run around happily. The rooms are well looked after and the bathrooms tidy. One thing I didn’t care for was the jute tablecloth, which gives off a strange smell, but the place itself is undeniably lovely.
