The Pucci family made us feel right at home, and after a month at Villa Cafaggiolo we consider them friends for life. Paola, Niccolo’s mother, greeted us and showed us around the cozy farmhouse, with old stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings, arched windows, and an oversized fireplace for warm, comfortable evenings. The Villa runs on the Pucci family’s love and effort, and you can see it from the first interactions. From the hillside gazebo, we watched sunsets over the valley’s patchwork of vineyards and olive groves, with horses nearby. There’s plenty to do, from making pasta and desserts to relaxing by the pool, taking adventurous tours through Tuscan wine country, exploring the history along the way, or having a private wine tasting for your party. We also took trips from the Villa to Milan, Rome, Positano, Assissi, Siena, Volpaia, San Gimignano, Florence, Pisa, and Lucca. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Villa Cafaggiolo is where dreams and reality are woven together.

I found this place very dirty, with terrible service, and felt it was a tourist trap. I’d give zero stars if I could. The listing says neighboring towns and shops are a quick walk away, but in my experience they’re very far, and transportation costs are exorbitant. They also say electricity is charged if you use AC, but be aware they charge for the whole house’s AC, not a separate meter just for the AC. Update: I believe the owner creates fake reviews. The two reviews below have no other reviews and are in Italian, and I believe they’re from him, Nicollo, and family members: Barbara Corrias is his mother and Paola is his wife.

The hosts, Paola and Nicola, were incredibly kind and helpful, suggesting places to visit and eat. We had a fantastic experience in this cozy, very clean house. It's one of the most beautiful places in Tuscany, and I highly recommend it.

The Michelangelo apartment felt really welcoming and worked perfectly for a holiday with friends. Villa Cafaggiolo sits in a beautiful spot on a hill, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. We were there over Christmas and hope to return soon.
