The room was okay, and we could choose each day whether the cleaning woman should tidy it. The rooftop terrace was nice, but the whirlpool was always cold. Breakfast never changed. We were on half board, so I can't comment on lunch. Dinner always had three courses: pasta with tomato sauce, though the pasta type changed; a choice of fish or meat, and we picked meat, which came plain or with very few fries or potatoes; then dessert, with repeats like melon. The boss only asked some guests if they wanted things like lemon or coffee ice cream, pasta with tomato sauce, or a spice. The staff were fairly nice, especially the cleaning woman, Monica, I think. For us, the hotel fell short and we wouldn't return :(

Dinner was something we looked forward to every day, and the mojito at the hotel bar was the best I’ve ever had. The bar prices were reasonable, too. The room was clean but on the small side, which didn’t bother us since we spent our days at the beach right next door. Mention that you’re staying at hotel Amba and you can get a big discount at the beach. The owners and staff were all lovely. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

My wife and I stayed for a week in August-September 2019. The rooms were clean and decent, though the furniture was old, and we had no issues with the room itself. The restaurant was another story. The breakfast and dinner food seemed stale, mostly canned or old, and we had several problems after eating it. Twice, they brought us spoiled food and I sent it back. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all unless you want to ruin your liver. What a shame.

Silvia was incredibly kind and helpful, even sorting out our reservation when we added another person for our family trip during the Rimini fair. With everything so busy, she also gave us a hand finding places to have dinner. Our room was warm, tidy, and clean, and I could see the sea from it. I know some people have complained about the warmth, but I don’t think there was any reason to. The hotel is just steps from the beach and makes a handy base for visiting nearby towns in Romagna. We’ll definitely return.
