Hotel Astor

I really enjoyed having a daily bike ride into the harbor or the city to see the sights. It was easy to find my way around, and the hotel is quiet, though still close to the harbor and to the cocktail bar across the street. The location is also good for families: they have a child seat for bikes, Fiabilandia amusement park is nearby, and Orchidea Beach Baby Park is opposite. Our room matched the description and was even more spacious than expected, with a sea view. Everyone was kind, friendly and helpful, and the room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was great, and I was given gluten-free food and sweets. It’s a little farther from the city center, but there’s plenty in the neighborhood and lots going on in the streets behind the hotel. The beach is directly opposite, a one-minute walk away, with outdoor chaise lounges, umbrellas and towels. I found gluten-free pizza at Rossopomodoro and pasta at Pizzeria del Toro. I highly recommend the place and would happily come back anytime. Thank you!

Our children loved going to the kids club after lunch and dinner each day. They stayed for 1.5 hours, and Valentina did a great job keeping them busy. The hotel was very well organized, with an extremely friendly staff. We’d recommend Hotel Astor anytime and will definitely be back. We spent 8 nights here as a family of four, two adults and two children. The connected rooms were comfortable and very clean, with a balcony and a side view of the beach. The beach is directly in front of the hotel parking lot, less than a five-minute walk away. We had a Continental breakfast. At lunch there was an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, then a choice of three first and three second courses. For dessert, there were three options too. The food was delicious. Special thanks to the waiters Maria, Daniel, and Pasquale, who did an extraordinary job and made sure we were all satisfied throughout our stay.

The parking lot was small, but the owner made sure everyone could get a spot. Our room stayed clean all week, and towels were changed daily. Breakfast had a great sweet and savory selection, and there was always a generous appetizer buffet. At both lunch and dinner, we could choose from three first courses and three second courses, followed by dessert or fruit, which was a must. The owners, waiters, and cleaning ladies were all kind and helpful. We had a pleasant stay and definitely recommend it. We spent a week here with our daughter, who was almost 2 years old. The location was excellent, right across from the sea, with no street to cross.

The food was really good, with lots of choice at both the buffet and the daily menus. The rooms were lovely and clean, and towels were changed every day. The owners and staff were genuinely kind and ready to help with any need. We had a great time in every way and will certainly return. Thank you for everything. We came back to this hotel after many years, and it was a real pleasure when the owner recognized us.
