Hotel Marittimo

Lovely location.

The buffet never stayed empty for long, and the food was plentiful and really delicious. The rooms have always been clean and in perfect condition whenever I’ve stayed. This was my third year in a row at the hotel, and the staff are competent and helpful. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. Debora was especially kind and worked through all my requests, even finding me a room for the extra days I wanted. I highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be back next year, and I can’t wait. Emanuele and Valentina

The hotel is close to the beach but far enough from the chaos, and my wife and I had a lovely stay. Our little dog was made very welcome too. The rooms aren’t large, but they’re comfortable. Meals were good, and the vegetable buffet and other choices were more than satisfying. Breakfast was okay, with drinks made on a professional coffee machine rather than a self-serve one. The place has a convivial feel, which is always nice. I’d recommend it. Great Debora.

The location is a plus, handy for both the beach and the city center, and the staff were welcoming. But after a week there with my family, I found the stay uncomfortable. The rooms, cleanliness, and food weren’t to my liking. I know it’s a 2-star hotel, so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I did expect clean rooms and a bit more variety in the dishes. Other hotels in the same category offer more. On August 15th, at least a grilled fish dish with a glass of wine would have felt reasonable, given how poor the service was overall. The games in the children’s area were all broken, and that area wasn’t clean either. The bicycles were practically nonexistent and completely unsafe. The bathroom fixtures need an overhaul, if not the whole bathroom, and the rooms need air conditioning. We would’ve paid a little more for it, but even though we booked in April, we couldn’t get an air-conditioned room. It’s a shame that the photos and reviews on the website and Google don’t match what we found. I don’t think we’ll be back.
