Bed bug case still unresolved. My family and I were extremely disappointed with the service at Hotel Mexico in Torre Pedrera Rimini after a serious bed bug incident. We stayed three nights, then soon after leaving, we suspected my son had been bitten. A dermatologist confirmed it. He’d been sleeping on one of the extra beds brought into our room. This caused stress, expense, and discomfort for our travelling group of 12 family members, and affected the whole vacation. I contacted the hotel several times to report the bed bugs and urge them to act so other guests wouldn’t go through this. They replied to emails late, or not at all, put me on hold on the phone, and wouldn’t connect me with the hotel manager. I also asked for compensation for the trouble and the costs of my son’s medical visits and treatment. I’m writing such a harsh review because they didn’t respond properly or meet what I thought was a fair compensation proposal. I don’t want anyone else to deal with bed bug bites and then have to push for a fair solution. I advise people to avoid this hotel.

Room: 12 square metres, like a jail cell. Parking costs €10 a day, and the air conditioning is another €5 per day. You only find out about the AC charge after checking into the room, so at first you might think it’s broken. Noise in the evening and at night was terrible, and nobody kept noisy tourists in check. Cleanliness gets a 10. The pool gets a 5 because it was dirty, though the safety arrangements were a good point. There’s no restaurant, just breakfast, which was reasonable.

The staff were friendly, and there’s plenty of parking, though parking is charged separately. The place was nice and clean, and the swimming pool was a big plus. The downside is that in-room A/C costs extra.

The beach is right outside the hotel, and there’s a lovely outdoor pool. It was very clean, with friendly staff throughout and a lovely breakfast.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the big pool was clean too. The hotel itself was always neat and clean, and the staff were really nice. I had a lovely stay and hope I can come back in 2020. Thanks, everyone ♥️🏖️🍳🏩
