Parioli Hotel Rimini

The hotel itself was great, in a good spot not far from the beach, with very friendly, helpful staff. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the weak point. There were 2-3 gluten free choices, but none were very good. They gave us new bread after we complained, but only on two of our five days. Fried eggs were also missing, and they should add more gluten free options. This was probably the first time I've had such a great and terrible first day at a hotel. The rooms had been renovated and upgraded, and the location was handy for the beach, restaurants and shops. But we found lots of eggshells in the scrambled eggs, and there was hardly any continental food, so it needed constant refilling. My wife and daughter both have celiac disease, and their options were very limited: a pack of Schär crackers, a dry panini loaf that wasn't heated or opened, and raisins. The buffet had no ingredient or allergen information at all, so it wasn't allergy friendly.

We stayed there for a month, and Eleonora was really kind and nice.

A nice, cozy hotel that feels like a service apartment, with a small kitchen in the room. Breakfast had a very good spread. It would be even better with more green salad vegetables in the morning buffet. Other than that, everything was great.

The location makes it easy to enjoy the northern part of Rimini, with the beach, shops, and good restaurants about a five-minute walk away. That area has more upscale places and nightlife, while the south is better for cheaper restaurants, tourist shops, and beaches. There’s plenty to do beyond sunbathing. The rooms were a pleasant surprise after the dated-looking lobby, and the design felt properly five-star. I also liked that dogs are welcome. The TVs didn’t have HDMI ports, though, which would’ve been handy for streaming from my own devices. Parking is limited. If the hotel spaces are full, they point you to a place 15 minutes away on foot, though you can unload your bags at the lobby first. I’d use Parcheggio Piazzale Kennedy instead, about five minutes away. The Wi-Fi was slow enough that I relied on mobile data for a steady connection.
