Terrible!!!

The location is excellent, right on the seafront with all amenities close by. After a small booking hiccup at the start, the apartments matched what was advertised on booking. We had a third-floor apartment facing the sea, with a lovely, comfortable terrace and a table and chairs. The furnishings were modern but fairly simple. Cleaning isn’t included, even for a six-night stay, so linen isn’t changed either. The parking below is convenient, but needs to be booked and paid for separately.

We’ve enjoyed coming here to relax for years. The view is breathtaking and priceless, and the exhibition is very good. The apartments are spacious and clean, and the management is friendly and very customer-oriented. Underground garage spaces are available for an extra cost and are easy to access, even with a large vehicle. Some beds are a bit worn, and none are especially big, though that’s common almost everywhere. Summer evenings can get noisy when the hotel next door holds events by the pool or parties now and then. Our solution is to go to bed later and sleep in.

The property is well located, near two free beaches, and the staff are friendly. Still, the arrival and stay were frustrating from start to finish. Check-in was somewhere other than the property, despite what the website said, and we had to pay before seeing the apartment. The website mentioned a €200 deposit, which wasn’t required, and full payment the day before arrival. We chose the underground parking for another €15 per night, but it was poorly maintained and shared with another property. Outdoor parking was paid only and difficult to find. The shared areas were shockingly dirty. On the fifth floor, the hallway was filthy when we arrived, with even more sauce stains, and got only a quick wipe after five days. In the apartment, the air conditioning was running, but the furnishings and structure, though not old, were in poor condition. The kitchen was stained, the stovetop light was broken, the door felt unsafe, and there were ants. The glass table was badly marked underneath, with dirt in its joints. The beds, including the sofa bed, already had sheets on them, but although we booked for five people, four adults and one child, they made the beds and provided towels for only four. The sofa blocked part of the door to the washing machine room, which leads to the first bathroom. The bathroom was nice, but the bidet wasn’t firmly fixed to the floor. The towel warmer was stained, while the fixtures were clean. The balcony off the dining room, kitchen, and sofa bed looked onto the street. It was dirty, with plastic cups and cigarette butts, and the outside air conditioning unit blew out incredibly hot air. Upstairs, narrow stairs lead to two single bedrooms, one double bedroom, a bathroom, and a tiny terrace facing the sea with dim lighting. You have to stand on tiptoe to see the beach and sea. The bathroom heights didn’t comply with requirements, and the shower head was broken. In the double room, the lampshade was broken, the splitter had broken slats, and many curtain hooks were broken. There was an open space by the closet used as a barrier between the stairs and the double room, which was very unpleasant, as the photos explain better. The curtains, bedspread, and splitter weren’t very clean, especially considering the COVID-19 situation. The single rooms had no bedside tables or light, and we found debris such as toothpicks in a drawer. At checkout, we mentioned some of the problems. The receptionist said we should have told them, since they were always available. We were on vacation, though, not there to call about every issue we came across.
