Spring

We really enjoyed staying at the Spring hotel and would happily come back. The family who run it are lovely, and the staff were very friendly. There’s a small bar and lots of outdoor seating, and the beach is about 100 metres away. Our room wasn’t big, but it suited us well. It was clean and looked after, with a nice little balcony and a good bathroom. The breakfast buffet was nice too. Parking is free, though there are only five spaces on the property. Otherwise you have to park on the street or in the nearby free car park. I didn’t care for that car park, so I used the spaces outside the hotel when I could. My other small gripe was the drinks: I think the Limoncello cost €4 each, which seemed expensive.

The people here make the place. It feels less like a standard hotel and more like being welcomed into the staff’s home, with a cozy atmosphere and genuinely friendly smiles. That sort of warmth is worth more than five stars to us. Our room was nice and clean, the standard was okay, and the balcony view was very good. The host also puts on a lovely dinner, with a beautifully set table, and it wasn’t expensive. For three people, we paid about 20€ more than we’d spent on pizza by the beach, and got two courses plus wine, Coke, water and coffee. We only regret staying three days and finding out about dinner on our last night. Definitely worth a visit!

There’s a public charger for electric cars right outside, which is a handy bonus. We also liked the hotel’s position directly across from the beach, the clean rooms, and the good range at breakfast. The owner was wonderfully kind and attentive, and the hotel welcomes pets. We had a great stay and plan to return. There were quite a few mosquitoes in the area. That’s not really the hotel’s fault, and the staff do offer repellent and electric vaporizers, but mosquito screens on the windows and doors might be a worthwhile addition.

The view from room 25 was really nice, and the host was amazing, always ready to help with anything. Breakfast was a 7/10 for me, but it’s good that they serve it from 7:30-11:00. The location is a little far from the center and the bars and clubs, though there are nice restaurants nearby. I recommend this hotel.
