Before our arrival, we got a message with the rules and a request for our arrival time. At that time, the owner's son was there, but he didn't seem to know what to do. That might be understandable, but we never saw anyone at all for the rest of our stay. Be wary of the positive reviews. We found nothing positive here. The room was neglected, and both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny. A squashed spider stayed on the wall all week. The double bed was two single beds pushed together, with mattresses at different heights. The bathroom fixtures leaked, and the showerhead didn't work, so it was replaced by the bidet. Ants were the worst problem. When we reported them, the owner said some mysterious juice had been spilled on the floor, by us or a previous guest. We had not brought food or drink into the room, and it didn't seem normal that any mess from previous tenants would still be there. They cleaned the room, but the next day more ants showed up, this time around a towel left on the floor outside the shower. The owner never apologized and kept insisting it was our fault. The pool belongs to a neighboring property, has just three loungers, stays in the shade, and is only accessible at certain times. Breakfast was paid for at another place, but nobody could tell us where to go. At least the property is quiet, except one evening at 1 a.m., when around ten kids were bathing in its hot tub, which I had never seen working before.

The host was neither welcoming nor helpful, and we couldn't get in touch with her during the stay because she was absent. We had booked well ahead, in March or April, but what we asked for and what the hotelier promised didn't happen. We wanted three single beds and a balcony, but got one single bed, a double that couldn't be separated, and just one window. A full breakfast was available only on the first morning. After that, the selection was very limited and the items didn't seem very fresh. Room cleaning and towel changes were poor, too. The free bicycle service promised by the room providers didn't exist at all.

We could admire a beautiful sea view just steps from the beach, and the location was really convenient for the sea. There's also a bus stop right in front, with service to the city and train station. The hotel was clean, organized, and welcoming. I've stayed several times and always had a wonderful time, like being at home. The owners are fantastic and make you feel at home.

This family-run guesthouse is only steps from the beach. You can ask for what you need and receive it. With our child and big dog, it's become our summer retreat.
