We stayed for three nights in September 2024. The place was fine, and being a little farther up the main street made it more peaceful, while most bars and restaurants are down near the start of the street. A couple of things to keep in mind when booking: carrying large suitcases is challenging because the slope is steep and there are stairs to reach the main gate. Ask which room is available. Rooms 2 and 3 are on the second level, while room 1 is on the first. There’s no lift, and the winding staircase is narrow, so full-size luggage is awkward.

The room was charming and spacious, the bathroom roomy and well stocked, and the location just right: away from the busiest spots but still close to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful, and apologized when sorting out the front-door issue. Just make sure the last employee to leave locks the door correctly. There are two settings, one blocks entry but allows people to leave, while the other blocks both. Guests need to be able to get out. It was fixed promptly, and mistakes happen. I loved the place and would stay again if I return to Riomaggiore.

A charming, clean little room with a nice street view and a cold minibar, which was a big plus. The toilet is on a separate level. I’d rate it 5/5 if there were a bigger TV with apps like YouTube and Netflix.

Edi, the manager (owner?), was lovely and supportive, and the apartment was super clean. It has a kitchenette, an extra toilet and bathroom, and a big rooftop terrace. The location is great, right in the center but a little away from the busy area. We had a lovely time and would be happy to book it again.
