La Dolce Vita

We had a spacious room with a lovely old wooden ceiling. It faced the main street, so we had to keep the windows open to cut down on noise from the road and nearby restaurants, but it didn’t bother us. The location was very convenient, with shops and restaurants close by, and both the train station and marina about a 10-minute walk away. The rooms were really nice, and the friendly staff at the "reception" walked us to ours and showed us around.

After looking into hiking in Cinque Terre, we found Riomaggiore worked perfectly as a base. We took the train to the first town, hiked from the first to the third, then continued by train because part of the Blue Trail was closed. We also went to the beaches in Riomaggiore and Monterosso, and took an evening boat ride that left close to the apartment. Arriving by car was much easier here than we expected, too. Giacomo was quick to respond on WhatsApp before and during the trip. He arranged garage parking for €20/day and helped with our bags. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with great AC, large windows, and a useful line for drying swimsuits. The main street location couldn’t be better, and we loved staying at La Dolce Vita in Riomaggiore. There’s no front desk or luggage storage, and it’s a two-story walk-up, so you’ll need to carry your bags up and down. That was fine for us, just good to know. Great value, and we’d absolutely come back.

The owners were really nice and let us check in late when our train arrived late. The rooms were modern and great, and very clean.

The accommodation was spotless and modern. There’s no Wi-Fi in the room, though.
